Lustful licks
crack the morning calm,
the whips
that spur the day's
exploration
of familiar topography.
It's a game
of roaming over
fertile peaks,
and through
man-tamed grasses,
frame to a fragrant pond.
A single taste
is the quest's end found.

Very good!

Vivid pictures, nice symbolism. I like it very much!
