On the other end of this phoneline
You sit and wait
For me to beg and plead.

Stupid me does exactly that
Begging and pleading like a whipped cur
For more of the same.

More lies and evasions
Drawn out silences
Pulling my heart out through my mouth.

Dead line
Keeping my promise
And breaking my heart.

I guess I don't have to worry
About how you are going
To play with my mind next.

I still cannot hate
Wasted emotion, there's been enough of that
In this pain-filled encounter.

All I can do is be thankful
That you supported me when needed
And let me go before it hurt too much.
