When the sun is up
During the day
I walk to world
In the usual way
When darkness falls
And the sun is set
I change my tune
And become HIS pet
My body moves
To his commands
I have no control
I’m in HIS hands
HE silently tells me
What I’m to do
He tells me quietly
That I’m after you
I track you down
Safe in your home
The door opens easily
You don’t expect harm
You’re up in your room
Safe in your bed
Not safe for long
Soon HE’ll be in your head
I stand over your body
Watching you breathe
If I had control
I’d turn around and leave
HIS persistent voice
Whispers in my ear
I’m to take you now
Right now and right here
I lean in slowly
My lips brush your face
In your sleep you turn towards me
Lost in a dreamy place
For the first time ever
A victim accepts my kiss
Willingly parting your lips
A breath escapes me with a hiss
You open your eyes
Gasping for air
Your arms grab and pull me
Yank on my hair
HIS voice pounds in my ear
I must win this fight
Must take you now
Must possess you tonight
But your teeth
They grow
They bite in my neck
Blood flows
My blood, this evening
Seems to be shed
A mercy you’ve granted me
I’ll be free when I’m dead
