to contain myself in a state of happiness
to remember every name in a phone book or every date in a calender
to make sure that every day of your life runs smooth
to believe everything that everyone tells you
to fall in love a hundred times with the same person
to avoid stereotypes by lingering in your house forever
to win every batte without changing your strategy
to witness something so traumatic and have it not have an effect on your decisions later in life
to bring a child into this world and be unaware of what awaits it
to be in a state of confusion when everyone has the answers
to cut off all contact with a person that you love
to have a single person not contribute something in his/her lifetime to a society that is bent on it's contributions to each other
tfor me to continue this poem without getting teary-eyed, because if I did, I'd wind up mentioning something that will remind me of something or someone that I miss, and I don't want that
