Nebulous blue twilight
In tiny tiles of herself
Sticks a stick portrait
Inside my private eye
For my viewing pleasure
And other things as well
I try to kindly respond
In kind and ken
As well as I can
And so and so and so
It goes and goes
Or comes
Sometimes
I hope I hear
An echo cross country
While both of us are busy
With ourselves
Thinking of you
My darling dear
As my busy fingers
Write themselves to prunes
