I'm walking with solid steps on uncertain ground;
asking you for another chance.
I see the other half of my soul hidden in your eyes.
In the curve of your spine as you walk away.
Your reaching hands and echoed cries when I ran from the truth of you.
Fooling myself into believing I was whole.
My life is an empty shell, a vacant room.
I am tired of trying to survive without the warmth of your touch.
I tasted paradise once; everything else is sour by comparison.
Pour your nectar over me; sweet and glistening.
Let me live the rest of my days complete.
