We have loved all through eternity, you and I
A glance, a stance, a fleeting gesture
We gaze from afar
We are the prisoners of unrequited love
Held hostage at arm's length
Through the window of a passing train
Or from across the room at a party
We know instantly the eternal bond that
re-kindles, once again feelings we have shared
since the beginning of time
To love for but mere seconds, the touch
of your hand on my face
The forever parting embrace
The kiss that stirs a million memories within
Soulmates long apart
Only to bode our parting, back to our own lives
Never to touch again, denied the consummation of the
desire within us, yet reunited once again
In some other age or eon,
Kindred spirits whose lives intersect briefly,
And for a moment, we feel this eternal love,
But cursed to never be lovers,
Fate never allows the key to unlock our hearts
