Into the jagged edge
beyond,
Within the churning,
swirling clouds of mind,
to the deepest recesses
of ravine
crack open a crevice
or two,
Lick the trail of saliva and feces
and goo
that glutinates like pus
on the festering
wounds of time
on unfettered
memories of mine
to the tunes of tambourine.

In the clickety clack track
of a timeless train,
through the winding
carcass of history
leave behind a legacy
of bullets
that don't ricochet,
battles that don't fight,
of images
that refuse to go,
words that don't echo
of stares
that don't blink,
slaps that don't sting,
and, of victories
that don't vanquish

Into this world,
let you and I
step in
for a look or two.
Maul some nostalgia,
reminisce myalgia,
toss a few
Synapses
that have deadened,
guts emboldened.
Allow the veins
to bleed, vacuum
to feed,
the heart cauterized
mouths agape
insanity prized.
