Power to you getting what you wanted, did you have to step on me?
Rapidly up the corporate ladder, your star doesn’t shine on me.
Orchestrating which career moves to take, only thinking of yourself.
More fame and fortune feeds your ego, I can live without that myself.
Operating alone assures your opinion of what you can do.
Thanking God, I called off the wedding before I vowed to you, “I do.”
It’s funny, back then, I thought money and success is what I wanted,
Only now, when looking at my life, I already have what’s counted.
Never say I didn’t wish you well, but I do feel sorry for you.
