Proving All in Due Time
A bud high upon a rose bush
Present but neglected until
One day a Man passes by
Seeing the beauty in the unopened blossom
He begins to nurture and water the tightly closed red bud
The floret unaccustomed to the care begins to loosen still unsure
Time and attention gently prods the bud proving all in due time
To unabashedly show its beauty
Trepidation felt through its core
Left with no choice but to open
The blossom relents and a beautiful red rose reveals soft petals
Happy and content in its skin, proving all in due time
Confident that the youthful rose will be watered and nurtured
The eager blossom remaining ever open for others to enjoy
Knowing the beauty of the floret's display brings the Man pleasure
His hard work paying off in her obedience and tall shoots
Knowing that He will remain steadfast
Ever present to nurture and trim
The thorns threatening to engulf her
Aware that the blush petals will wither and die without balance
The rose realizing that the seasons come and go but
The bud will bloom with his care proving all in its due time

Have read your poetry as brightone and love how you are able to convey emotions we share as subs ❤️ Hoping you keep on writing despite the pressures of life (hahaha like i should talk) because you touch and express both the bright and dark worlds we exist in that simmer beneath the surface. So many of us (or for me in particular) do have a hard time being seen and heard, and your art puts those unspeakable things into words. Here’s to hoping you actually read this and actually continue your art. You have helped so many people, you just don’t know. So many of us quiet ones who choose to remain anonymous would love to see ourselves even more through your beautiful voice ❤️
