I remember when my love for you felt so pure
that my heart ached
So honest, and so hopeful
So bright eyed and eager you made me feel;
I was happy.
Wanting your touch, the smallest caress
The tiniest attention would do,
and that's all I got from you
I was blissful; earnest; goddamned stupid.
When I think of you now,
the horrible, soulless shell you are,
Your knowing all along the filth
that you were bringing to my life,
I dry heave
And all I feel is a scratchy throat
And the mental anguish of ever meeting you
And ever feeling your loneliness that night...
You deserve every bit of it.
