Lightly pattering
Quiet rain on my hood
Dimly flashing
The clouds aglow
With light
Distant rumbling
Pale and thin
In the lonely night
Steady strings of water
Trailing from the sky
Dripping quietly
Delicately
Down my cheeks
Mixed with salt
Spilling from my eyes
Quieting the storm
In me
