I'm in a hurry.
Please move out of my way.
I've got to race up this hill.
I'm on the way.
I trudge and trudge.
Up this mountain, I must climb.
Don't laugh.
Don't judge.

Each day and night.
I look out the window.
Staring into space.
Dreading the time as it comes.
For me to head up and go
Up the mountain
Into the sun's face.
Up, up, up this hill I go.
When I reach the top, all will know.

The top of the hill.
To the top I have headed.
All this work, striving, and to get to the top.
When I reach it, the pinnacle, the top.
I'm climbing the hill.
I'm reaching the top.
The top of the hill.
That is my goal.
Up, up, up the hill,
I go.
