And who is He
This raggedy man
Knocking unrepentant
Demanding you travel
Beyond comforts boundary
Away from thunder dome.

To take his hand and wander
Beyond the confines of your world
Into another
Touched by everything and everyone
Sad
Painful
Yet bringing joy unfettered
And danger.

The power of the prophecy
For which you waited
Like Aunty
Looking towards the future
From a fragile past
Through glasses misted
By tears and blood
Surrounded by sycophants
And survivors
Of holocaust
Feeling incomplete
Craving the rule of anarchy.

Oh raggedy man
Stepping from a blue oblong
That defies logic
Or physics
That says what's inside
Is larger
Than the sum of everything
That's outside
And tomorrow is tomorrow
And yesterday is gone
And today is
Perfect
Just
As it is.

Oh raggedy man
I love you
And I hate you
I want you
And I fear you
For all you bring
Like poison
To a junky
You fill me
As I fill you.

And when you smile
The world smiles
And when you cry
The world cries
You am important
Matter in a consequential way
Have a purpose yet to be explained
Or diagnosed
But important by design
You vital
Unforgettable
Irreplaceable
My own
Raggedy man.
