In our lives the day will come
When we find a hand we would like to hold
Extending your hand brings risks to bare
Will another grasp it tight or pass it by?

Oh, the joyful possibility
Or heartache, which will it be?
Loving means taking chances
Some chances are worth taking

While your extended hand may not be met this try
There will be a day a hand extends for thee
When the hands meet and intertwine
Love is there, reaching out has won
