Reasons

I think I just noticed a first(for me). When I started with the poem there was only one comment. When I posted mine, I noticed yours already there ahead of me.To my utter disbelief I observed what I considered so far to be beyond the laws of nature - me giving a higher score than LeBroz. It either means that I am in an unusually great mood (seeing that I have Bronchitis it's unlikly), or that I missed something big that LeBroz obviously did not. Any way, Good luck!*********

Because… the sky is blue…Because…Ooops, sorry, I was dreaming for a moment about my early years of innocence with a different melody of because…sigh…************

But I like your concept. Isn’t our whole life kind of half of an argument ; a question with no final answer; a set of assumptions to which we add more and more and more in order to arrive at what? Some more and more vague conclusion about ourselves; life? **********

You would have done me a great favor if you narrowed the scope of your ‘becauses’ just a bit so that the tiny little cynic in me would not bug me too much. Have you ever had the feeling in a super modern/conceptual museum - you face a used tissue on top of half eaten apple. Now, a dilemma. Be a good citizen and throw it to the garbage or pretend that you are pondering the symbolism of our modern internally decaying civilization. By no means am I comparing the two. But I wonder. Could there be any random sentence that I could have produced that would not have fitted into the poem? Some of the ‘becauses’ seemed initially like nonsense, but after some thought I could, as anyone else, made some sense. For example “Because the shy is blue” could have been a symbol to: poetic inspiration; no reason whatsoever (Because because ); because I am in a good mood (a nice day) and so on ad infinitum. ******************

I don’t know the last about the ability of computers /and or humans to distinguish between poems made by other humans as opposed to by other computers. But just for raising all those questions in my mind (your intentions don’t count just the poem) your poem deserves a high five.

List poems like this always make me nuts. Makes me think of a shopping list. I think you could take this and get creative and come up with a real powerful piece that isn't list-like while still conveying the same message.

I'm going to get my hair done and the color changed.... because I want to, so there.
