Reborn
by Jessica Williams

I sit upon the throne of bone and blood
Waiting and watching for you, my secret king
In one hand I hold a skull
In the other a sword
For I am the undead queen
And in my hands I can bring death
Down upon the mortal realm
But then you appear
Praise be!
My lover, my god, my knight, my unseen king! Master of my true heart
I am thine
You break me and make me
Into an image of beauty
I am more than a goddess on the throne
I am your love
You are the fire
You burn the ice of my long frozen heart
And I am alive again
I am alive
For with you beside me
We are both crowned with roses and thorns
We are so much more than we seem
This love, this darkness unseen in the light
Is what keeps us young
We dance among the corpses
Those brought down by the power of our love
For it is a brilliance that can't be witnessed by mortal eyes
In it we revel, in it we breathe
Together we will be
For all time, our love will unite
Fire and ice
Together we will burn
Until the world is nothing but ash
And in that ash
The world is reborn
By the power of our union, the power of our love
Praise be
You are mine
Forevermore
We are reborn
