Do you not recognize my face?
How about now, with the lying mouth set aside?
Or the flaring nose removed?

Can you not guess my name?
Perhaps without the guarded eyes?
Or the furrowed, heavy brow?

Is my character so elusive?
Is it clearer without set jaw?
Or sharp and hard chin?

Is it so alien with all this ripped away?
My ears always closed to you?
Or the crooked broken teeth?

How can you not know me?
When I see you every day?
Do you not see me in the mirror?
