Red cherry
The ember smoking waft of your words
Burn across
I try to catch what I can
Suck them into my psyche
Filter the effects into semblance of something
Taste them across my tongue
Sometimes heat
Sometimes bitterness
Sometimes lust sometimes sweetness hope despair anger
But I drag as I can
'Cause I need them
Till I'm down to the end
Hotbox and feel them ending
Slowing
Burning my tongue
Realizing the next instant you'll be gone
And I exhale tasting the remains
Knowing already before too long
I'll crave your ember again
