The mirror you see tells only lies
It only reflects the tears in your eyes
It tells only a story of grief
the weary posture far from relief
It cannot show the love inside
Those lovely qualities you hide
your gentleness, your passion
It only shows your taste in fashion
it does not show him standing there
holding you close with his hand in your hair
it shows not how much you cared
it shows not the beauty shared
The mirror to you reflects a beast
But we both know you aren't in the least
