Remorse

I upset my love
I was silly and coarse.
I’m now sad that it happened
As I gave her good cause
To be somewhat disgruntled.
Now I’m in remorse.

I hope she'll forgive me,
My love is so strong
That I'll never forget her,
No matter how long
Be the time I must wait for
Her pardoning my wrong.

So here I sit waiting
For word to arrive
From my darling, to tell me
That now I must strive
To behave well in future.
So love can survive.

Now, this was excellent...

Even sweet. Sounds like young love to "me". I wish that the poem was above me when I review. Since I'm new here, it seems I'm having a hard time figuring all this out, so bare with me.

The flow was outstanding and I was REALLY drawn in. The rhymes didn't seems forced and seemed to come very natural to you. Thanks for the read, Dana
