You tried to tear me down
but still I fought.
You tried to break me down
but your work was for naught.

You wanted to hear me scream.
I laid in silence praying,
praying it was a dream,
repeating your saying.

"It'll only hurt for a couple days."
You said this once to me.
I laid there numbly gazing,
wondering how this happened to me.

You tried to tear apart my world
because I'd grown stronger than you.
You sit in amazement at what has unfurled,
because it's you that got screwed.
