(written in an instant on the Literotica poetry forum)

one day
I will
raise
the
bar
and
take on
a mountain
and climb until
there is no
more up
only
down
and
descent
just to see
for myself
that
g
r
a
v
i
t
y
will
never
give up
pulling me back
to where I belong
and that the
sun and
stars
still
sit
up
there
laughing
at my folly
and my pointless
attempts to somehow
disguise myself
as their peer
and I will
come back
beaten
with
one
dream
destroyed
but a million
new ones
already
born
