After smoking a joint on a summer's day,
there was a small roach to throw away..
It wasn't worth keeping, I have to say,
so I threw it into the john..
Then turning around, I spied a bug
crawling around on the bathroom rug..
Though I was high from smoking a drug,
he was quickly then stepped upon..
The dead roach went in the toilet too
as something profound came into view..
The old roach floated beside the new,
but I flushed and now they're gone..
