You begin so evergreen and innocent
Protected by the thorns that shield your soul
Sprout, grow and fuel the red lust, you were meant
For Intense bloody passion, loose any sense of control.
So sickly sweet and vibrantly you shine.
Your lips are your skin and pleasantly so,
If I smiled a smile you’d be mine.
Oh why do I have to leave you to grow?
Steel could pluck you from an eagle’s height.
Flesh can bend, bash, break you from your splendor.
The choice to let you live till old rights
Or to preserve you dead with your gender.
I’ll leave you precious in my view
And we’ll be together ever so askew.
