Trying so hard
Pulling out all the stops
Tonight got just one thing on your mind
Baby, I swear I care
But not that much
Not enough to throw away my self respect
For a one night love affair
I just can't be there
Spell it out for you if I have to
Anything it takes to keep those grabbing hands off

BRIDGE

S-E-X is not L-O-V-E
No matter what you say
No matter what you do
Babe, I just ain't gonna fall for those lies
Told since the dawn of time
By men with heat in their eyes
Honey, just like you
So guess that I'm just gonna have to come right out and say it
Get straight with it
Boy listen up and understand
S-E-X is not L-O-V-E

Under my skirt
So sick of feeling your hands creep
Whispering dirty in my ear
What you'd love to do
In the backseat of your car
Turning you on
Turing me off
So off
Making me feel like
Nothing more then a piece of meat
Emotionless
Hopeless
Heartbreaking knowing that you don't really care
Just wanna score and brag about it later
Spreading gossip about me spreading my legs
When we both know
I never went that far

REPEAT BRIDGE

Hard to believe
So hard to believe
That you ever appealed to me
Gag when you try and kiss me
Stick that not so loving tongue down my throat
I'm a virgin
Don't really wanna go all the way
But your overeager hormones just won't listen
Always with a smile on your horny face
While I grit and grind my teeth
Feeling you trying to push up on me
Tell me that in time I'll come around
Give it up
Just like a good girlfriend should and would
Panting 3 little words
Just not ones my heart wants to hear
Head over heels
Your brain taken over by the hard on in your jeans
Boy, please

REPEAT BRIDGE

Made my choice
Come Hell or high water
I'm sticking with it
No going back now
Just gotta say buh-bye
Gave you a chance
Ask you to hold off on that kind of dance
Found out too late
All you ever wanted to hold were my breasts
Never what really mattered
Never my heart
So goodbye horny boy goodbye
Won't be seeing me again
Naked or clothed
Cos I'm gone
Off to find someone older and better
A man not a boy
A lover to understand when I sing

REPEAT BRIDGE 2X

I like it!

And you know what? I bet if you had a chance to read it, a -la stand up - live, majority of readers here would like it too. So what's the problem you may ask? I suspect (because I haven't asked) that given your style -which is straight and simple and does not try to "sell" more than it says, many are - let me whisper it to you: simply shy! Yes too shy to admit in public at least that something, written in such simple, even un refined words could actually give them some true fun. So they can't make the distinction between style and content; words and emotions; and what's on the surface and what lies beneath - raw and true for you and for many, other than you. Let it be and let it pass, it seems to me that you keep it on! I have one condition though; PLEASE leave alone that guy from the rock competition you were so enamoured with in your poems! He could never sing one line, let alone a whole song!

Be well and be free and keep being you!
