i am no good yet
the opportunity to touch another has never arisen
so in your absence i've memorized my body but
the geography of my curves and warmth has long since grown cold beneath my fingertips.
but now i sense warmth on the horizon because
your flesh calls to me like a tender beacon
and your touch on my skin
has allowed light to creep back into my dark heart.
