Shifting sands
And winding roads
And thoughts of love from long ago

The tender touch
The thoughtful glance
From someone dear
You use to know

The test … the trials
The strain on love
Nurtured with such care

The season's roll
As on they go
Like soldiers in review

The time has come
The time has gone
As now you stand alone

And remember in the autumn wind
That love lost long ago

I went back to find you...

and I realized I never clicked the rating , I must of given you a 50, on accident, and I am so sorry .. for you did deserve better, I got to read your words again... and again they

touched me... grain after grain...

sands

I enjoyed the words but mostly enjoyed the flow, a very good write. I did not feel beached at <grin>

reminding me ..

of all that once was, when the leaves

call the winter to snow,

yet in the spring,

again.. the flowers bloom.
