I can't get no satisfaction,
all I want is a little action.
If this keeps up, for the sake of my health,
I’ll have to learn to enjoy myself.

I went home with a gambler hoping to change my luck
But when the night was over, he still hadn’t anteed up.
I went home with a painter to see a picture of her boat,
But when I reached land in the morning I needed a second coat.

I went home with a tax lawyer who made a pretty good living,
But she turned out to be interested in taking, not in giving.
I went home with an astronomer hoping to se some stars,
But all he wanted to do was debate about Venus and Mars.

I can't get no satisfaction,
all I want is a little action.
If this keeps up, for the sake of my health,
I’ll have to learn to enjoy myself.

I went home with a taxidermist who seemed manly enough,
But when I left there in the morning, I still felt like I hadn't been stuffed.
I went home with a baker expecting to get a rise.
But the only thing that got eaten was yesterday's apple pies.

I went home with a web designer but it was just a flash in the pan,
Cause when it came to give-and-take she just wasn't with the program.
I went home with a string quartet hoping to be plucked,
But what they really wanted was someone to Conduct.

I went home with a carpenter with whom I'd shared a cup.
But when I looked beneath his tool belt, he just didn't measure up.
I went home with a butcher but I sure wouldn't want to marry'im
Cause when I got up in the morning I still felt like a vegetarian.

I can't get no satisfaction,
all I want is a little action.
If this keeps up, for the sake of my health,
I’ll have to learn to enjoy myself.
