Rushing thickets
Always in pursuit
Never within reach
Of sating rescue
A pleading beseech
Of my pipes picket
Day after night
Satyr's plight

Oh, honeyed nymphs
Giggle and dance
Weaving through woods
Never a chance,
Nor sampleof goods
For lustful imps
Only glimpse delight
Must taste tonight!

My hunger deep
Splashing brook
Hooves on rock
One cornered, Look!
Charge! Horns and Cock
Nymph's squealing bleat
Sweeter than wine
Or music most fine
