An angels breath destroys all sense
The rush of wings, I’ve no defense
She burns my eyes and bleeds my soul
It’s the most exquisite pain I’ve known

That Christ should set an angel free
To exorcise the fear in me
And still I’m haunted by inner ghosts
It’s the lack of fear that I fear most

So should she choose, return my love
Forsake for me her home above
Then my angel’s course can cure my faith
I surrender to her, my saving grace
