It's easy being me
the one before you
the one you see.
Often happy
sometimes sad..
on occassion
even bad.
Sharing laughs
a joke or joy
feeling shy
or looking coy
a smile
a frown
an impish wink
spoken words
to make you think..
Should you
could you
will you dare?
Allow yourself
to even care?
If you look
will you see
the truth
the facts, reality...
And if you look
will you see
beyond my face
to the real me?
Because you see me
doesn't me
that your seeing everything...
What you see
is my outer self
the cover
like a book's
up on a shelf..
Behind the cover
hidden there
are the things
meant to share
soft lips
fingertips..
to touch and explore..
Look beyond
what you see
there's so much more
to know of me..
But what you see
is what you get..
I think it's something
you won't regret..
