My heart yearns
for a soft touch I once knew.
My skin burns
where those touches once were.
My eyes miss
the soft smile I used to see.
My lips tingle
with the memory of another's lips upon them.
My body aches
for warm embraces that it no longer feels.
My ears no longer feel the tingle
from a warm breath mixed with sweet words.
My soul weeps
from the sadness it feels.
My senses drown
in a dark abyss.
It's the abyss
you left me in.
