she shakes her shadow
drunk on peach sweat
we live beneath language
and above the moon

these feet worship the road
but i soar willing
weak pleased and ugly
you are crushed

manipulate urges
to suit breast blood
in our enormous moment
love whispered

both used
lies were needed
for power love and beauty
languid words like tongues

one delicate place
heaves expulsive
raw and pink
as mens' bitter apparatus

frantic sweet and sad
no sleep essential
smearing old aches
away behind and gone

she sings a symphony
recalling a time void of music
we moan a storm
and scream a flood
