Silhouette of darkness protruding from the abyss
Fingers long and slender reaching the unknown
Scraping the sludge from withered skin
Falling into the putrid puddle of muddy memories
Invading intruder lurks within stealing silent thoughts
Stored away from days long past; dried and crumbling
Decaying particles drop below and slither away
Hissing; laughing and taunting to surrender
Tears spill forth as waves of waterfalls filling the ditch
Deserted now, with weeds and rocks its only companion
Shadows rise and fall with the sun on silhouette
As she slowly disappears back into the deep darkness
Of her eventual eternity.
