I go away
as quick as I come
blushed in red heat
like peppers
crushed
creeping up my collar.

This time I thought of what to tell
and what to not
and it was still too much
to undertake.

Next time perhaps
I’ll pull on that silk
that whispers a charmed life
and like a butterfly emerging
reinvent myself.

Next time…

perhaps.

Nicely suggestive and smooth as the silk you describe.

Spicy

I like this, especially that first stanza. Great metaphor!

Another nice poem

from you today. The lines "blushed in red heat / like peppers / crushed" were very evocative. Uniting the concept of wearing silk and change was interesting. Thanks.

Understand

Well I don’t understand any of that … but I like it, and I guess that’s all that matters.
