Sinner's Dream!

the dream I had was a terrible thing,
It began with me inside a black train.
Satan was riding as the Engineer,
And everybody with me was in pain!

I saw "Fat Cat" lawyers and "Clergy" men,
And a whole lot of "Sinners" just like me.
I heard lots of "Wailing," and "Gnashing" teeth,
On that quick trip to "Hell's Eternity!"

Everyone around me was crying out,
And they were begging for "Just one more chance!"
We all heard the Devil's laughter ring out,
And felt him pushed his throttle to "Advance!"

We rushed through the darkness towards a glow,
That got brighter and hotter drawing near.
I was beginning to feel somewhat cold,
Despite the heat I shivered with real fear!

Then a sigh of relief, escaped my lips,
And I left my bed with some rocking.
It made my day when someone woke me up,
And I thanked "God" for all their loud knocking!

I have to say this dream affected me,
And it made me think a lot about sin.
Then I shrugged my shoulders and asked "Why not?
Sin is just too damned much fun," and I grinned!!
