In the relentless black
Of this cold, spring night
A clock chimes,
Once, twice, then ten more times.
she lay and tosses and turns,
Dreaming of what she needs.
Somewhere after midnight,
Amongst her wildest fantasies,
Somewhere just beyond her reach,
There's Her reaching out for her.
Feeling quakes like thunder,
Rising with the heat.
Through the wind,
And the chill and the rain,
And the storm and the flood,
she can feel Her approach,
Like fire in her blood.
The taste of Her lips each time that W/we kiss,
The warmth of Her touch from Her fingertips,
The feel of Her body, as it rests close to mine,
The scent of Her hair that intoxicates like wine,
The look in Her eyes that see through to her soul,
The stare that grips her heart, and won't let go.
She is in her heart,
She is in her soul,
She is the half that makes her feel whole.
she is giving Her, her everything, her all,
For it is Her, her heart shall always call.
The happiest moments she has known,
Are those she's shared with Her alone.
The thoughts she holds especially dear,
Are thoughts of Her, no matter how far or near.
The moments closest to her heart,
Are those in which She's played a part.
This much she knows to be true,
she will always belong to You.
