A pox on the liver of the world
Stained underbelly shown bare
     Banner of greed now unfurled

     Living cancer chewing society
Twisting inhabitants and morals
     Feeding in the vivid anxiety

     Leeching at chivalry and kindness
Exposing a skeleton of fear
     Active and voracious hatred virus

Strip away the illusion of civility
Dismantled social stratus
Mangled and torn sense of nobility

     Heartless and helpless in assault
Relentless erosion digging deep
     The cannibal instinct revealed result
