Note: This is my first ever attempt at writing a poem. It was written approximately 44 years ago, and at that time I was not at all versed at writing poetry. So please try not to be too critical in any of your votes or comments. Of course, any and all votes and comments, on any of my Stories or poems, are greatly appreciated. Even the critical ones...

The sky is blue
Way up above.
I long so much
For someone to love.
I pray each night]
That she'll come my way,
And be with me,
Both night and day.
I see myself
Walking hand in hand
With the loveliest girl
In all the land.
The guys will see
A Great big grin,
As I kiss her lips
And caress her chin.
I know I'm dreaming,
But I don't care,
Because my love,
I want to share.
So I'll just wait,
Until she comes along,
And then my life
Will be filled with song.
