Eyes wide open, staring ahead
Looking at you laying on the bed
Watching as you sleep, gently breathe
My mind in turmoil, and I do seethe
I want to hurt you as you’ve hurt me
But I love you so much, but you don’t see
It’s now or never, I must decide
To walk away or lay by your side
It’ll hurt to stay, it’ll hurt to go
But I must do something, you must know
Your sleeping body shows no sign of all this
Sleeping through your guilt of that stolen kiss
You gave yourself to someone that wasn’t me
And it’s hard to forgive the conspiracy
Because I know you did it, but you didn’t tell
And you are quite peaceful while I’m in hell
So sleep my beauty as when you awake
I’ll be away, for my sanity’s sake
I won’t be deceived or lied to anymore
And I won’t let you pretend it’s me you adore
Bye my lover, I’ve enjoyed our time
But I must leave, to find a new life that’s mine
