I went outside tonight and looked to the heavens.
I saw the moon, the stars, the vast expanse of universe.
I saw the stars you look up at. The ones you sleep beneath.
In my solitude I forgot what it was like to feel. To breathe
You made me remember it all. You made everything flow
almost melodically. All pain was washed away by endless
comforts. All past scars were erased seemingly with a
touch of your graceful hand.
When you leave, it seems a part of me goes with you.
A part of me watches you sleep.
Watches you dream in peaceful slumber.
I wait by your bedside until morning, watching as the
first glint of sunrise caresses the world outside.
I stand in my eternal darkness, waiting for you to stir.
Waiting for your light to engulf me once more.
Waiting for sweet peace.
Waiting for the next gentle caress of nightfall.
