My natural state of being is loneliness
For most my life
Convinced that I was to difficult
For anyone to love that much
For a couple of years
At least
You made me wonder if I was wrong
And loved me more and better than anyone ever has
So
Now
To return to loneliness seems only proper
If a bit colder
It was my last delusion
My last ignorance
My last bliss.
But,
I'll keep the memory of what it was like to really be loved
With me
As the blackness closes in again
