Massive beings that do not move.
They stand in the middle of a vastness that reached the heart.
They are beings of stone that do not speak.
Still they pull on humanity to say so much.
All speculation feeds them.
Giants stand still....they stand still taller in our curiosity and wonder.
Many tons and still heavier in mystery.
An ancient calendar and still so much more.
Its a monument to the heavens.
It was built by those who searched for a connection.
It was decided that a structure built with respect could maintain balance.
Large because the idea was large.
Spirit, human beings, the cosmos.
The call was like thunder expressed in stone.
No sound could be spoken,
no music played.
The structure to a grander structure must be completed.
Then a portal could amplify a sound of appreciation.
The builders of stone giants were stewards of something more.....
Maybe in their belief they bound heaven and Earth.
