There are a lot of ‘associations’ in existence that seem to focus on nothing more than intellectual masturbation. In other words, they just sit around and talk about writing. Victor Thorn

intellectualism is how
you feel the words
to make yourself get excited
with the foreplay
created by hands
when i'm writing.
It's like the poem
becomes a friend
when in dire need.
it's you and me baby
just getting it on.
and when it gets hot,
it stimulates me
and builds up the excitement
to end in climax.

isn't that what this is all about?

to find that one poem
that leaves a reader
begging for more!

doesn't it turn you on
when you know I have one aim
to create the one gem
to make this world
realize that poetry
is really a great way
to open more doors for literary rags
to compete with the heavyweights of publishing
to give us poets a fighting chance to succeed?
I can't help
that I love the word
and crave the need for my poems
to get laid in print.

doesn't sex sell,
so why shouldn't this?

I've bared it all,
and this is the piece
of writing you can enjoy
when it goes beyond intellectual masturbation.
