It started with the rain
Then the clouds cleared
The sun appeared
It was you
The storm came once more
it didn't just rain, it poured
rays of light broke through
It was you
Nightfall came
filled sky with shame
binding what was once free
it was me
Then came the dawn
forgiving all wrongs
nothing can be undone
it was you
if only you knew
the sun needs to rise
the night needs to come to an end
with each passing day
we'll conquer the shade
and close our eyes when night falls again
