Storms

She walks along the shore

Shells scattered against the grains of sand

Waves wash across tiny feet

A soft breeze lifts tiny tendrils off an angelic face

Looks out over the ocean

Blue skies, white capped waves

The taste of salt upon her lips

Looking down at the shells

Noticing a brilliant shiney shell

Pressed into the sand

No others near it

Gazing around seeing no one

She is alone

A smile plays against the soft lips

Peace and tranquility rein with each crashing wave

She moves forward

Searching for a purpose

Her mind drifts to thoughts of the past

Glancing behind her seeing the foot prints being erased

Watching as new foot prints indent in the sand

The clouds begin to move in

The waves become more violent

Looking behind once more back there

Clear skies and tranquil seas

Forward clouds and stormy seas

She continues to move forward

Against the storm

Knowing the purpose is ahead

Somewhere
