string of pearls, set free clasp broken
your laughter dancing to my ears
i reach to fold you in my heart
as eyes close slowly
thought of you
is near

string of pearls,
your touch awoken
precious spills of treasure tumbling clear
bestowed like snowflakes in soft tides
in rolling thunder fury your delight

string of pearls
each breath shorn, whispered
fall into your eyes
i cup you firmly in my palms
and set you free in midnight cries that long
unto the sea
