Hello world, it’s just us against you
Sue, Dee and me
The “three amigos” is what we call ourselves
Friends for so many years
Dee and I have been buddies since birth
Sue and I met back 25 years ago
We are always together
Arm in arm, side-by-side, never missing a step
Dee and I have a special bond, almost as twins
Sue likes to stay close too, reminding me of things
Like the ocean and pills and knives and guns
She’s a little morbid but lots of fun, too
Dee is a downer but silly and mostly harmless
They accept me for me
They are my best friends
They keep me company when everyone else is gone
Sue knows my brother too; they dated for a number of years
Dee never dated him but knows him just as well
Funny how that is, small world, as they say
Oh, let me formally introduce my friends and me to you
Sue Aside and Dee Structive and me; Laura Janine
Just us against you. . .
Sue, Dee and me.
