if you've been writing poetry
for a number of years,
you know that,
the "poets market provides
a wide range of journals
to meet your needs;
but know that the newspaper
absolutely...
will not accept submissions.
for the sake
of a good hardy debate,
i'll pull this from an article
in the erie pa newspaper,
"the embarrassment i don't think is enough."
after all - pain, suffering
and emotional distress
are "the guts" of poetry.
i'd have to say, that if a man's genitals
were super glued to his abdomen -
his buttucks sealed shut,
and that fingernail polish
was used to spell out a profanity
on his back,
is a bon-a-fide picture.
that editor proved
poetry was at its finest!!
the point of the pen, punctured me into a chuckleboned re-read <grin> very witty and humorus <my favs> made for a great read dc.
.but what happens next? I hate having my interest piqued and then thwarted because I want to poem to be longer.
Nice one Don.
